In 2016, the US Departments of Health and Human Services, Housing and Urban Development, and Education published a joint policy statement entitled Policy Statement on Meeting the Needs of Families with Young Children Experiencing and At Risk of Homelessness. This statement provides recommendations to policymakers and providers at the local and State level on how to serve children and families who are homeless.
