Today’s featured handout is “Positive Goal-Oriented Relationships” from our colleagues at Head Start by way of the National Center on Parent Family, and Community Engagement. It’s short but sweet, clearly defines reflective practice and reflective supervision, and offers strategies for both with an emphasis on a strength-based approach. The authors state that “a key to building positive . . . relationships is taking time to reflect on our work with families.” When we contemplate what’s working and what isn’t, we can course correct to improve the quality of our interactions with parents.
