Healthy Steps, a program from our friends at Zero to Three, offers a collection of “Early Learning Handouts” professionals can share with parents of little ones from birth to 36 months. All the handouts are available in both English and Spanish in the same file. These resources focus on what parents can expect at well-baby visits, observations they might make about their children’s development around the same time as those visits, and activities parents can try to support growth at each of the following ages:
Topics discussed in the handouts include language, managing feelings, science and math, problem-solving, physical skills, art and music, and books to share with an infant or toddler. Download them all to have in your back pocket. They’re colorful and definitely “fridge worthy”!
The ICC-Recommended Early Start Personnel Manual (ESPM) describes core knowledge and role-specific competencies needed for early intervention service provision, incorporating current research and evidence in the field of early intervention. To access the ESPM, click here.
