CDC Developmental Milestones Checklists (Rev. 2022)

In 2004, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) published a set of early childhood developmental milestones to help parents “learn about their child’s developmental milestones and support their children’s development” (source). The milestones are one of several tools in the “Learn the Signs. Act Early.” campaign to support child development and early identification of developmental concerns. In 2022, these milestones were revised with the support of the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) and a team of developmental experts and pediatricians.
