A Year of Play

Published online in both English and Spanish, “A Year of Play” from Zero to Three offers 12 months of captivating ideas for parents and young children to explore together. The authors provide suggestions for both babies and toddlers that target talking, reading, and playing. Topics range from “Cold” in January to “Body Parts” in July to “Stars” in December. There’s even a pumpkin muffin recipe in October! What a great resource to have at your fingertips as you work with families in their natural environments. Think through and discuss modifications that might be made to tailor activities to a child’s learning or communication preferences or to a family’s settings, routines, or cultural priorities. “A Year of Play” provides more ideas than you’ll know what to do with!
